Picard alien replacement

Alien Doppelganger of Picard.

This imposter of Jean-Luc Picard replaced the real Picard when he was abducted by aliens who wanted to study human leadership qualities.

The Doppelganger had all of the memories and experiences of Picard but his behavior was different from the captain. He was more outgoing. He was flirtatious with Dr. Crusher and fraternized with the crew, buying drinks and singing. This raised the suspicions of the senior officers.

The Picard Doppelganger moved the ship dangerously close to a pulsar that caused the ship's shields to begin to fail. Riker took control of the ship. The Picard clone had been testing how far his crew would follow him, even to death.

When the real Picard was returned to the ship, his doppelganger disappeared. (TNG: "Allegiance")

The Picard doppelganger was played by Patrick Stewart.
