James Otis played Solbor in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes "Til Death Do Us Part", "Strange Bedfellows" and "The Changing Face of Evil"
His first motion picture appearance was in Dragonfly. Later movies he appeared in include Stardust Memories, Another Day in Paradise and The Kiss. In 2006 he is to appear in Brian De Palma's new movie The Black Dahlia. Gregg Henry is also to star in that movie.
