James Harvey "Jim" Drake (22 January 193218 April 1976; age 44) [1] was an actor who played Janowski in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "And the Children Shall Lead" and an Enterprise crewman in the episodes "The Way to Eden" and "Turnabout Intruder". As a background performer, he received no credit for his roles.

He filmed his scenes for "And the Children Shall Lead" on Friday 28 June 1968 at Desilu Stage 10, his scenes for "The Way to Eden" on Wednesday 27 November 1968 at Desilu Stage 9, and his scene for "Turnabout Intruder" on Tuesday 7 January 1969 also at Stage 9.

Drake started his acting career in the early '50s with appearances in the war drama Single-Handed (1953, starring Jeffrey Hunter), Target Earth (1954, with Whit Bissell), the drama Escapade (1955), and The Quatermass Xperiment (1955).

He had recurring roles in the television series The Texan (1958-1960) and Gunsmoke (1961-1964, along Leonard Nimoy and John Anderson) and made guest appearances in the series Fabian of the Yard (1955), The Adventures of Aggie (1957), Wanted: Dead or Alive (1961), Leave it to Beaver (1962), Branded (1965), Burke's Law (1965, with Parley Baer), and F Troop (1966). Other credits include Chamber of Horrors (1966, with Clegg Hoyt, Nedra Rosemond, and Paul Sorensen) and the drama If He Hollers, Let Him Go! (1968, with Jon Lormer).

He also appeared in several episodes of Mission: Impossible and the first season episode of The Six Million Dollar Man entitled "Operation Firefly".
