... as Ensign Demora Sulu

Jacqueline Joan Kim (born 31 March 1965; age 51) is the actress who played Ensign Demora Sulu in Star Trek Generations.

She is perhaps best known for her role as Lao Ma on Xena: Warrior Princess in 1997. She has often been mentioned as a candidate for the lead role in the proposed film versions of David Weber's Honor Harrington series of novels.

She acted in Howard Beach: Making a Case for Murder (1989, with Sabrina LeBeauf), The Mighty Ducks, Dario Argento's Trauma (1993, with Brad Dourif), Disclosure (1994, with David Drew Gallagher and Suzie Plakson), Volcano (with Tzi Ma), Brokedown Palace, and 2001's The Hollywood Sign (with Whoopi Goldberg and Dominic Keating).

She was nominated for a Spirit award for her role in the 2002 indie film Charlotte Sometimes and was recently seen in 2007's Red Doors (again with Tzi Ma). She also had roles on shows such as 1995's short-lived Courthouse (with Bob Gunton) and Brannon Braga's Threshold in 2006.
