Impedrazine was a drug designed to help stimulate cardiac function. It could also be used to counter the effects of psilocybin.

In the late 2250s, a JahSepp intruder to Discovery dosed Paul Stamets and Jett Reno with psilocybin as a diversionary tactic. Stamets recognized what had happened, and managed to focus long enough to find a med kit and administer shots of impedrazine. The effect of the compound wore off almost instantly. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")

Following a 2372 Kazon attack on USS Voyager, The Doctor administered 75 milligrams of impedrazine to the injured Kurt Bendera, however, he had sustained so much injury that it was too late for the stimulant to help and the dosage given had no effect. The Doctor then attempted to revive Bendera with a cortical stimulator, but that also proved to be ineffective and he passed away thereafter. (VOY: "Alliances")

Later that year, following an explosion in main engineering, The Doctor set up a triage in Sickbay to treat three injured engineers. One of the injured, who was not badly hurt, was given 20 milligrams of impedrazine. (VOY: "Investigations")

The spelling used here, "impedrazine", is from the script for "Investigations". A second, alternative spelling, "impedrezene", was used in the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 360). A third, and again similar drug name, inpedrezine, was referenced in DS9: "Distant Voices".
