The Makar was a Romulan D'deridex-class warbird that was in service with the Tal Shiar in the late 24th century. The Makar's cloaking device was modified to prevent detection by Dominion sensors at speeds under warp 6.
In 2371, the Makar was part of the joint Tal Shiar/Obsidian Order fleet that attacked the Founders' homeworld located in the Omarion Nebula. The ship was destroyed in the subsequent Battle of the Omarion Nebula, becoming one of the first ships to lose main power. (DS9: "The Die is Cast")
