Hyperspace physics was a branch of physics that explored the realm of hyperspace. It was one of the topics explored on a Starfleet Academy entrance exam during the 24th century.

In 2364, the last question of the hyperspace physics test, taken on Relva VII by Wesley Crusher, Oliana Mirren, T'Shanik, and Mordock, was, "if the matter and antimatter tanks on a Galaxy-class starship are 9/10s depleted, calculate the intermix ratio necessary to reach a Starbase a hundred light years away at warp factor 8."

The question was determined, by Crusher, to be a trick question, because "there is only one ratio with matter-antimatter. 1:1." (TNG: "Coming of Age")
