The Hupyrians are a humanoid species native to either the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. The males are quite tall. They are popular with the Ferengi Grand Nagi who use them as servants. Hupyrian servants take vows of silence and speak only to their masters.
Hupyrians are famous for their beetle snuff, favored drug of Grand Nagus Zek, and many other Ferengi.
- It seems likely that Hupyrian/Ferengi first contact took place prior to 2151 when Ulis offered beetle snuff to Krem.
