Honky-tonk was an American musical genre; the term was also used to refer to the type of bar where such music was often played.

"Sister Honky Tonk" was a song sung by Mae West in the 1930s movie I'm No Angel. (VOY: "The Killing Game")

"Crazy Arms" was a popular honky-tonk song during the 1950s. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")

The song "It's Only a Paper Moon", which was a frequently performed by Vic Fontaine at his lounge, had the lyric "Without your love, it's a honky-tonk parade." (DS9: "It's Only a Paper Moon")
