A holographic duplicate was a holographic recreation of a biological or technological lifeform, including other holograms, that was either a sentient or non-sentient doppelgänger of their respective counterpart. These holograms were created for a wide variety of uses including, but not limited to: espionage, historic recreations, medical records, training programs, trials, keepsakes, simulations, and just simple fun.
