The arrival roster at Deep Space 9 listing Capt. Zimmerman

In 2370, Zimmerman was in command of the USS Yorktown. His ship visited the planet Theta Omicron IV and was scheduled to arrive at Deep Space 9 on stardate 47550.1. (DS9: "Whispers")

In 2371, Zimmerman was listed as Science Ops personnel on the dedication plaque of the USS Defiant. (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

In 2372, Zimmerman was a member of the Engineering Detail credited on the USS Enterprise-E dedication plaque. (Star Trek: First Contact)

In 2375, Zimmerman was listed for Science Ops contributions on the dedication plaque of the USS São Paulo. (DS9: "The Dogs of War")

Captain Zimmerman was named for scenery designer Herman Zimmerman, who worked on many of the Star Trek series. His name was not mentioned in dialogue, it was simply listed on dedication plaques and an okudagram graphic of an arrival roster on a viewscreen. The graphics were also populated by a number of other in-jokes.
