Henry V

A scene from Henry V

Henry V was a play written by the great Human playwright William Shakespeare, the fourth part of a tetralogy that includes "Richard II" and "Henry IV, Part II".

In 2293, General Chang quoted the play's lines "Once more unto the breach, dear friends" and "The game's afoot" while his Bird-of-Prey attacked the Enterprise-A over Khitomer. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

In 2366, Data reenacted Act 4, Scene 1 of Henry V on the holodeck. The scene featured the characters of Michael Williams and John Bates, and Data played a disguised Henry the Fifth. Captain Jean-Luc Picard later quoted from the scene when confronted with a possible war with the Romulans and the destruction of his ship. (TNG: "The Defector")

In 2370, Henry V was among the literary works selected by Data to better understand Humanity. (TNG: "Emergence")
