In a letter to Dr. Lucas, Phlox pointed out that many of the hospital's patients originated from nearby Kaybin bars. The hospital isn't mentioned at all in the final version of the episode.
In the first draft script of ENT: "Fusion" (which had the working title "Equilibrium"), Trip Tucker and his brother were referred to, in Trip's dialogue, as having required, one Halloween during their childhood, to be taken to a hospital by their mother so they could have their stomachs pumped because they had eaten too much candy after going trick or treating.
