For the TNG episode of the same name, please see "Haven".

Haven was an inhabited M class planet. The planet had one moon. This was the homeworld for the Haven natives, a pacifistic humanoid species. The planet was located in the Beta Cassius system. This planet was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets.

This planet was widely known for its peaceful beauty. Like Risa, Haven was a popular resort destination. Many who visit the planet believed that it had mystical healing powers; in fact, according to legends, "it has been known to mend souls and heal broken hearts."

The Haven government was led by the First Electorine. Because Haven had no defensive capabilities, the treaty between the planet and the Federation specified that Starfleet was obligated to protect the planet from hostiles.

In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D visited Haven to receive Lwaxana Troi and Steven Miller's family. Around the same time Haven was the destination of the last Terellian survivors who hoped that their plague would be cured there. The ship ignored the system's stargate and failed to reply to attempts at communication and was perceived as hostile.

The Enterprise received a plea from First Electorine Valeda Innis to defend the planet from the menacing Tarellian starship. Thanks to the intervention of Wyatt Miller, the Terrelians changed course. (TNG: "Haven")

Presumably, Haven was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
The graphics for the planet Haven were also used for the planet Bynaus.
