The Hatarian system was a star system located near the Vodrey Nebula and the Federation-Klingon border.
In 2370, while the USS Enterprise-D waited for the USS Kearsarge, Captain Picard used the free time to travel to this system, where some ancient ruins were just being excavated. (TNG: "Firstborn")
