Harrad-Sar

Harrad-Sar was an Orion slave trader and a member of the Orion Syndicate. In 2154, his ship approached the Enterprise NX-01, and he invited Captain Jonathan Archer aboard his vessel in order to smooth relations between the Orions and Humanity.

Harrad-Sar offered Archer a deal between Starfleet and the Syndicate. He would give Archer the coordinates of a planet rich in magnesite, and both parties would jointly mine it. As a gesture of good will, he gave three Orion slave girls, Navaar, D'Nesh and Maras, as a gift to Archer.

In reality, this was a plot to take over the Enterprise and capture Archer, since Orion women can cause increased adrenaline, brought on by their pheromones. These pheromones caused aggression, delusional behavior and brought the crew under the influence of the women. Enterprise's engines were disabled, and Harrad-Sar returned to capture the Enterprise and Captain Archer whom the Orions wanted, dead or alive. T'Pol and Tucker, who were not affected by the woman, were able to regain control of the Enterprise and defeat Harrad-Sar. Harrad-Sar revealed that the Orion women were not slaves, but instead that the men were slaves to them. (ENT: "Bound")
