Template:Realworld Template:2009spoiler Harlow FX is a make-up effects studio which provides special make-up effects and prosthetics for film and television productions. It is owned and operated by Joel Harlow.
The Harlow FX team designed and constructed two prosthetic figures of Porthos for use in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "A Night in Sickbay": one to be suspended in the super-hydration chamber and one to be resting within the quarantine box. [1] More recently, the studio designed and applied make-up prosthetics on 2009's Star Trek. Brian Sipe was among those who were part of the Harlow FX team on Star Trek. [2][3]
Joel Harlow founded Harlow FX in 2001, initially to handle the fabrication of effects on the cult television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to Enterprise and Star Trek, other projects the studio has worked on since its inception include the films War of the Worlds and Domino and television series such as Carnivàle and House.
