A copy of Gulliver's Travels
Gulliver's Travels was an 18th century novel written by Jonathan Swift. The novel is a satire concerning the travels of its lead character, Lemuel Gulliver, to various exotic lands inhabited by fanciful versions of Humans and animals.
Commander Tucker kept an ancient copy of the book in his quarters aboard the Enterprise NX-01. (ENT: "Cogenitor")
In 2269, after the USS Enterprise rescued the Terratins and their home colony, Captain James T. Kirk described the miniature city as a "Lilliputian city". (TAS: "The Terratin Incident")
In 2365, Riker commented that the USS Enterprise-D being threatened by Debin's comparatively inferior Atlec vessel had "Shades of Gulliver's Travels". (TNG: "The Outrageous Okona")
Similarly, Picard admitted that he felt like Gulliver bound by the Lilliputians when the Enterprise came under attack from nanites the following year. (TNG: "Evolution")

Several days later Roddenberry and Solow realized they'd gone too far, and dismissed the Gulliver idea. Solow sarcastically commented, "Who knows? Bill Shatner could have been Captain Gulliver, and the sequels to the original series would have been Gulliver's Travels: The Next Generation and Gulliver's Travels: Deep Space Nine.
