Gran was the son of Audrid Dax, born in the 23rd century.
When Ezri Dax first met Brinner Finok (a romantic interest of Ezri Tigan's), following her joining with the Dax symbiont, she felt uncomfortable around him because he reminded her too much of Gran. (DS9: "Prodigal Daughter")
