Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park, 1986

Golden Gate Park was a public park in western San Francisco. The park had a lake.

In 1986, its location was labeled on a MUNI system map. Later that year, Admiral James T. Kirk landed his stolen Klingon ship in Golden Gate Park where it remained largely unnoticed by the local population. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In the alternate 2259, Golden Gate Park was visible on a map of the San Francisco Bay Area. This map was displayed on a powerwall in Admiral Christopher Pike's office. (Star Trek Into Darkness)

In 2399, this park appeared on a satellite image of the bay as Dahj Asha was searching for the location of Jean-Luc Picard. (PIC: "Remembrance")

The footage set in Golden Gate Park was actually filmed in Will Rogers State Historical Park. [1]. However, a scene representing the Genesis Planet for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was filmed there. [2]
The unnamed lake was Stow Lake. [3]
