...as Zefram Cochrane

Glenn Corbett (17 August 193016 January 1993; age 62) was a California-born actor whose early career was largely in television; he made many guest appearances in television shows throughout the '60s, '70s, and early '80s. He is perhaps best remembered for his regular role as Linc Case in the final season (1963-64) of Route 66, where his portrayal of a returned soldier from Vietnam constituted one of the earliest acknowledgements of that war on dramatic television. Previously, he had been a regular in the critically-acclaimed but short-lived dramatic series It's A Man's World. In the '70s and '80s, his movie career included a number of lead roles in some fairly unmemorable films (and downright flops), such as Template:IMDb-name (1973, with Sharon Acker and Tim O'Connor). In the early '80s, he was cast in two popular soaps: The Doctors and Dallas. Lung cancer claimed his life in 1993.
