George Washington

A sketch of George Washingon

George Washington was an important 18th century military leader during the American Revolution, in which he served as commanding general of the Continental Army. He was also a statesman who served as first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797. He was an absolutely key figure in American history, and the city of Washington, DC would later be named in his honor.

Although not mentioned by name, a sketch of Washington appeared on screen while the Talosians scanned the Enterprise computers.

Kyril Finn compares himself to Washington to justify his own struggle on behalf of Ansatan independence. Dr. Beverly Crusher rejects the comparison, noting that Washington did not attack innocent civilians. (TNG: "The High Ground")
