Georgann Johnson (15 August 19264 June 2018; age 91) was the actress who played Vice Admiral Gromek in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Emissary".

Johnson was born in Decorah, Iowa. She played Ellen Grant on Somerset (1970-1976), along with other Star Trek regulars Michael Nouri (1974-1976), Barry Jenner (1974-1976), George Coe (1971-1972), and Marc Alaimo (1972-1973). She also acted on Another World, another 1970s show that featured various future Star Trek actors. In addition to Johnson, the show starred Steven Culp (1982), Jennifer Lien (1991-1992), Barry Jenner (1976-1977), Kelsey Grammer (1985-1985), and Roxann Dawson (1985). In 1980, she acted in Health with Alfre Woodard and in Looker with Barry Jenner. In 1983, Johnson appeared alongside Bibi Besch in the nuclear war TV movie The Day After, which was directed by Nicholas Meyer. She appeared with Brian Thompson and Ron Perlman in 1985 in Our Family Honor. Two years later, in 1987, she had a role in Blind Date with Armin Shimerman, George Coe, and John Larroquette. One year later, in 1988, she starred with John Glover in David.

In 1990 she played Helen O'Donnell in Shattered Dreams with Michael Nouri. Two years later, in 1992, she acted in Fatal Memories with Dean Stockwell. In 1993 she acted in Father Hood with Adrienne Barbeau and Brian Bonsall. She starred again with Dean Stockwell, this time in 1996 in Twilight Man. In 1999, she starred with Olivia d'Abo, Michael Buchman Silver, Stephanie Erb, Scott MacDonald, Steve Vinovich, Lisa Lord, and Ivar Brogger in Seven Girlfriends.

She died on 4 June 2018 in Los Angeles, California, daughter Carol Prager announced. [1]
