Gamma radiation is the most energetic radiation that exists. It also has the shortest wavelength of any radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum. The Federation uses Gamma rays to re-crystalize dilithium, used in a warp core. This energy may be measured by gamma ray spectrometer.
