Frank Bolle (23 June 192412 May 2020; age 95) was an American comic book illustrator. Over the years, he also illustrated a number of children's books.

He was born in New York City to a parents who were also artists. After serving in the US military during World War II, he attended the Pratt Institute before joining the comics industry in 1948. He worked on a number of series for Magazine Enterprises and Western Publishing, including Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, the Lone Ranger, and Dr. Solar, Man of the Atom.

In the 1960s and 1970s he illustrated a number of children's book series including Encyclopedia Brown. He later worked on a number of daily strips, including "The Heart of Juliet Jones" for King Features Syndicate.

He passed away on 12 May 2020 and is survived by his wife Lori Bolle, daughter Laura, and son Frank as well as innumerable lifelong fans. [1]
