Too many stubs Edit

I just checked the Category:Memory Alpha stubs and was a little shocked to see that it lists about 800 pages marked as "stubs". This is more than 5% of our articles! If you have some minutes to spare, please check that list and see if you can enhance one or two of those articles to at least "incomplete article" status (then replace {{stub}} with {{pna-incomplete}}). I know I will try to make that part of my "daily work"... -- Cid Highwind 23:41, 7 Dec 2005 (UTC)

As a test/suggestion, I added a new line to the links on the "Recent changes" page, listing five stub articles similar to our wanted pages list. Please comment/discuss here, let's see if this is useful or should be reverted. -- Cid Highwind 10:28, 9 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I think it's useful, but perhaps the "more" should link to the Category: Memory Alpha stubs instead of Memory Alpha: Find or fix a stub so that people can see which articles are stubs? Just a thought...anyway, good idea! --Starchild 23:31, 10 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Of course, thanks. -- Cid Highwind 12:42, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I can certainly help out with the stubbed performer articles. :D Also, I'm sure there are still some articles listed as stubs that really aren't stubs by our standards; if anyone finds an article that is more than one paragraph and labeled a stub, then the stub should be removed. --From Andoria with Love 09:40, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Just over two years later and we are still over 800 stubs. --Alan del Beccio 03:31, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure its that big of problem, considering there's only 91 in-universe stubs (which would be much less than 5% of in-universe articles). Most of the other 800 or are realworld, a lot of which are for persons with only minor contributions to Trek. This is really a secondary concern (ie. its nice to have a decent article on every single makeup artist or author of Trek novels, but its ok if there isn't).
Having said that, the fewer stubs the better :-) – Cleanse 08:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
More work for ThomasHL. :P --OuroborosCobra talk 08:51, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
