You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this study.

Hello! We are two graduate students in the School of Communication at the Ohio State University. We are seeking participants for our class project, a research study on fans and fandom. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this study.

The aim of the study is to learn about modern media fans. We are interested in learning about who fans are, what they do, and how they perceive the world. The study will allow media fans to share their opinions and have their voices heard. The study will also expand research on an aspect of modern society that is underappreciated in the field of communication. As media fans ourselves, we understand how important these groups are to the modern cultural landscape and we hope to enlighten others.

The study consists of an online questionnaire which should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. Once you have completed the study, you will be offered a chance to enter a drawing for one of multiple Amazon gift certificates.

Please follow the link below to access the survey. You will have the option to save and continue the survey at a later time if needed. You may also withdraw from the study at any time. Please contact us at if you have any questions. Also, for questions about your rights as a participant in this study or to discuss other study-related concerns or complaints with someone who is not part of the research team, you may contact Ms. Sandra Meadows in the Office of Responsible Research Practices at the Ohio State University at 1-800-678-6251.
