I have seen on other wikis that they have a template to alert users that a picture is missing from the article. We have a number of articles on this wiki that were written because they were based off what someone saw in a film or episode. I think that having a picture will not only add to an article, but act as a confirmation of what was seen. That is why I am proposing that we create this template on this wiki.Throwback (talk) 01:30, October 10, 2013 (UTC)

There are already three ways to request a picture: adding a link to File:No image yet.jpg, adding a link to a file that doesn't exist yet (example File:Bajoran general.png as "seen" at Bajoran ranks), or using Memory Alpha:Requested files. I think a template would just create a forth list. - Archduk3 12:17, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
It's a shame Requested files is basically abandoned now though. I'd love to use that, especially could have been cool with the new film. And with all these hard to caption bluray's starting to replace our dvd collections, I bet the amount of new articles without pictures will increase in the future. -- Capricorn (talk) 04:52, October 13, 2013 (UTC)
