Is there a statement (regarding articles) having to do with checking spelling, grammar, and punctuation? If there isn't, there should be. I haven't seen many spelling errors, but I've found some pretty atrocious examples of written english. Eliphant0723 14:28, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Um, I really don't think there needs to be a policy. We are supposed to be like an encyclopedia, so I think you simply should correct these errors when you see them. Do we really need to tell people they are supposed to do that? I thought that was part of the point of being a wiki. I guess it could be said to be part of Memory Alpha:Be bold in updating pages. --OuroborosCobra talk 14:33, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Re: Language usage Stop using foul language! Nobody wants to read filth. I'm not a member of this wiki although I have made a few minor contributions. I don't know anybody here other than what I read on your talk pages and most of you seem to be good people. However, there are a few of you that are real potty-mouths. This type of language is uncalled for in the context of an encyclopedia. It makes me wonder if some of the attack dogs here have actually watched Star Trek. Star Trek is about tolerance. Why would you watch a show about meeting new life forms when you can't even get along with your neighbors? Nobody wants to join a community that acts this way. Again this doesn't apply to most of you and I sure the attack dogs probably don't care. However, if you want new members, then please watch your language. On behalf of Star Trek fans everywhere, thank you. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).
