Something that I've noticed for a while now is the fact that external links open in the same window (or tab) as Memory Alpha and not a new one as is becoming standard amongst other websites. It's nothing major (the user can always right click > open in new window/tab), but I just thought I'd bring it up and see what everyone thinks to getting this changed? Having it open in a new window/tab, will keep users on Memory Alpha when they click on the link so they can continue browsing should they wish. This is of particular use for novice computer users who may not know or remember to use right click if they want to open it in a separate window. As I said, it's nothing major. Just a minor navigational thing I thought I'd bring up. --| TrekFan Open a channel 18:13, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

We'd have to rewrite all of the external link code via JS or CSS. That may be against our TOS with Wikia. -- sulfur 18:49, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Well, it's no big deal, really. Just wanted to get a feel for what everyone else thought. --| TrekFan Open a channel 18:52, April 1, 2011 (UTC)
