hi all.

I remember back in the 80s I read a novel that contained a piece about the Enterprise (NCC-1701 I guess, not A) being launched from San Francisco. As far as I can remember, it detailed the events that occurred during its launch into orbit. All I can remember is a bit about the ship launching, its landing struts being retracted (I think), and it being a rainy day in SanFran.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've had the memory of that book in my head for years. Would love to read it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wish I could remember more about it as I just can't find anything with the limited info I have.

Thanks! David. -- 00:19, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

One that springs to mind is Ship of the Line, that features the launch of the Enterprise-E. For the original vessel, it might be either Best Destiny or Final Frontier perhaps. -- sulfur 00:31, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
