Does this wiki cover pages for consultants interviewed on Star Trek products? Neil deGrasse Tyson appears in the "Real Science" feature on VOY Season 3 DVD, and I thought I would make a page for him. I looked around to see if there was a precedent, but I couldn't find one. —Scott (message me) 02:20, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Haven't seen that special feature, but if there is citeable evidence that they aided in the production of Star Trek, I don't see why there couldn't be an article on someone like that. It'd be a bit more problematic if they were simply analyzing or giving their opinion on Star Trek- in which case there could be a blurb about them on the page for the DVD release the special feature was seen in. --31dot 02:24, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

I can't find any evidence that he contributed to the show. The special feature is a ten minute look at the real science behind Voyager with script writer/consultant Andre Bormanis. So I'm thinking a page isn't warranted, but I thought I'd check just to be sure. —Scott (message me) 02:38, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Do you at least have a picture of Tyson or at least a social fanclub or third party site we could link him up to?--Spock78 08:04, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
Neil deGrasse Tyson - VOY S3 Real Science documentary
Sure, Spock78. Here's a screenshot of Tyson from the "Real Science" feature on VOY Season 3 DVD. As for something to link to as you asked, there are any number of sites. He's one of the biggest names in popular science, he personally runs his own Twitter, he's the director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, he's the host of Nova Science Now on PBS, developing a remake of Carl Sagan's Cosmos, hosts StarTalk radio, writer of several best-selling books including The Pluto Files, etc. There are official links for any of those we could use. —Scott (message me) 16:14, June 21, 2012 (UTC)

Ahh, yes, I do recognize him from PBS now. Well, he could probably be labeled as a performer since he's doing a radio show pertaining to Trek, that is what I suspect. Thanks for the informative reply.--Spock78 16:25, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
