when we're posting something about someone dying or some other mishap like that, should we presume the individual is still alive if we don't actually see that person expire? I mean, if they're in a ship and that part is clearly established like Ru'afo was in the collector and the thing blows up around him, we can safely say that he died but if Admiral Hayes is on his ship at one point during the battle with the Borg, we can assume he made it to the escape pod. Basically what I'm saying is that, if we don't see the person die and the circumstances aren't right for them to be presumed dead, should we assume the person is dead and on the same not, if the circumstances call for recovery or if the person is simply being injured severely, we can assume the person is presumed dead but possibly alive?

Reason I ask is because Admiral what's his face in Insurrection, we don't actually see him die. He's just being tortured by the face stretching thing. Sure, he's got wounds from the struggle with Ru'afo but I doubt anyone can die from having their face stretched.--Babaganoosh 16:20, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

If we don't know for certain, we don't say for certain. We can make notes about the circumstances in which they were last seen however... -- Sulfur 16:52, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
