I've noticed ads on several pages lately that are either poorly placed or oversized and obstruct the reader's view of the article. Some are the horizontal banners at the top of the articles, which typically are no problem, but a number of times in the past few days, they've ended up covering the first line or two of an article. And just now I was unable to read much of the text on the right side of an article. An oversized video ad from the Navy was taking up lots of space and there was no option to close or stop it, nor to reduce the size of it.

I understand that a resource this large and popular needs ads, and I'm not complaining about their appearance throughout the wiki. It's when they interfere with the usefulness of the wiki itself that they become a problem. 06:31, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
