Doctor Phlox was fascinated by the forensic techniques used by the Akaali apothecary Riaan. He cited her methods and unrefined but called her techniques far more sophisticated than he expected. (ENT: "Civilization")

In a nightmare of T'Pol, she was attending movie night in the mess hall and watching a movie with Bob Hope. Doctor Phlox told Trip Tucker during the movie that even the primitive forensics of the mid-20th century would have determined that the suspect was too tall. (ENT: "Impulse")

Several forensic teams of the USS Enterprise-D were ordered in 2367 to search for any evidence in cargo bay four in form of DNA samples or biochemical signatures for who transported weapons down to Krios Prime. Ensign Kellogg was part of one of the forensic teams. (TNG: "The Mind's Eye")

In 2371, Security chief Tuvok ran a forensic sweep of Navigational Control and found traces of Tom Paris' DNA on the consoles. (VOY: "Cathexis")
