On the USS Voyager, the fluid conduits running in the wall between Ensign Harry Kim's and Ensign Pablo Baytart's quarters often conducted the noise from Kim's clarinet into Baytart's quarters, something which Baytart found quite annoying. In 2372, in response to Baytart banging on the wall, Ensign Kim and Lieutenant Paris joked about having Baytart transferred to the night shift. (VOY: "The Thaw")
