Crewman Fisher was a member of the crew of the Enterprise NX-01 during their historic mission of exploration in the 22nd century.
In 2152, Fisher came down with a case of Rigelian fever during the crew's visit to Tessik Prime, necessitating the inoculation of the entire crew by Doctor Phlox with a vaccine containing millions of genetically-altered microbes. A month later, this inoculation would prove vital in Phlox's discovery that the apparently-dead body of Ensign Travis Mayweather was not, in fact, Mayweather, but rather an extremely sophisticated replication, due to the fact that the microbes in the corpse were all dead, the apparent cause of death would have been harmless to the organisms.
