Fish are cold-blooded aquatic vertebrates. Fish are often used for food.

Some eel-like creatures were seen swimming in a lake on Archer IV. (ENT: "Strange New World")

There's a large tank on the Xyrillian ship. Eel-like creatures can be seen swimming in the liquid through windows. (ENT: "Unexpected")

It is unknown, what function these fish serve or what liquid they are swimming in. It can't be water, because we find out in the episode, that the Xyrillians have trouble producing water and that solid gelatinous cubes is the closest to water they can come up with...

Several different species of fish were seen in large aquariums in the Cetacean Institute in Sausalito. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Apart from Livingston, Captain Picard kept an aquarium of colourful tropical fish in his quarters (TNG: "The Battle"), as did Counselor Deanna Troi (TNG: "The Survivors")

Captain Picard also kept a stone plate with a fossil fish in his ready room aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2365. (TNG: "The Dauphin")

In 2344, Kyle and William T. Riker went on a fishing trip together. (TNG: "The Icarus Factor")

The Ferengi Omag had a very large fish for dinner in a bar on the planet Qualor II. (TNG: "Unification I")

A huge alien fish was displayed on Deep Space 9's Promenade. (DS9: "The Nagus")

The official book The Making of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine features a sketch of the giant fish. Here, it is mentioned that that fish is supposed to be a "Cardassian Sushi Ad" and that "it is known simply as the Fish".

Both Benjamin Sisko and his father Joseph were skilled at cooking fish. Joseph would sometimes joked to the customers of his restaurant that they should thank him for just letting him look at the fish he had prepared for them. (DS9: "Equilibrium", DS9: "Homefront")

A blue fish was seen swimming past Data in the Ba'ku lake. (Star Trek: Insurrection)
