A warp field dynamics monitor displaying the warp factor chart of the Warp 5 engine. (ENT: "First Flight")

Marked in the chart are the five peak transitional thresholds of the first five warp factors marked as Wf 1.0, Wf 2.0 and so on. The y-axis displays the velocity in multiples of light speed. The image was also seen again as a part of the various warp 5 engine schematics studied by Dr. Phlox in "Doctor's Orders".
This type of warp factor chart first appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual. (p. 55)
