USS Enterprise (XCV 330), ENT
The imagery was executed as a backlit transparency, based on a painting, featured to the right, that Matt Jefferies had originally created for
Star Trek: Phase II, to serve a similar function as it had in the movie. The design was one of his early considerations for the original USS Enterprise. (The Making of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, p. 94)
The painting itself appeared later in the series Star Trek: Enterprise.
