US release[]
The series was released, in full under the title The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek in the US by Paramount Home Video in 1989, using the same packaging as the VHS release. The only difference was that a "Beta" sticker was applied to each cover. There were two episodes per tape and 11 volumes altogether. Episodes were in production order, which differs significantly from the series as aired.

UK release[]
Starting in 1985, a rental release took place in the UK, under the name The Cartoon Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek. Five volumes were released featuring four episodes each in production order. The packaging is the same as that of VHS release. "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth" and "The Counter-Clock Incident" were not part of this set.
