(written from a Production point of view)
This is a list of characters who have recurring appearances or mentions in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Malibu) series of comics.
This article lists non-canon information. Additions to the brief character definitions listed here should include only a list of appearances and a short definition of their status as of their last appearance in this series. Other non-canon appearances will not be listed here. If you want to read about their canon information, their names will be hyperlinked to their main article. The specifics of non-canon characters' appearances should be listed in the character section of each audio production, novel, comic book, or game in which they played a role.
Regular characters[]
- Benjamin Sisko (β)
- Deep Space 9 commander. In late-2371, he traveled to Cardassia Prime under Starfleet orders to attempt to bargain for Thomas Riker's freedom with the offer of a planet on the border between Cardassian and Federation space. The bargain was unsuccessful, but he accomplished his mission. He also left a combadge with no internal circuitry with Riker so that Riker would remember his roots. ("Sole Asylum, Part One", "Sole Asylum, Part Two")

- Gowron (β)
- Chancellor of the Klingon High Council. ("Remembrance")
- Held prisoner by the Cardassians in late 2371, he was taken to Cardassia Prime in order for scientists to attempt to discover the secret of his duplication and create an army of duplicates. It was also revealed that Riker's cells were only nine years old, suggesting their complete creation at the time of the accident. Unable to rationalize the accident against the Law of Conservation of Mass and proven transporter theory, one of the scientists, Dr. Nol, told the Cardassian High Council that he must be from an alternate dimension. The Council decided to send him back to a labor camp and cease the experiments. ("Sole Asylum, Parts one; two")
