National Recovery Administration, or NRA, was a United States of America government program of the 1930s and 1940s. As outlined by President Franklin Roosevelt, the program's goals were to create a fair environment for workers by eliminating unfair competition, setting minimum wages, and determining the maximum number of hours a worker could work. The NRA and other programs of the time were created in reaction to the Great Depression.
Mack, the vendor in the Dixon Hill simulation, was a member of the NRA. Near his shop, there was a poster of the administration showing the characteristic blue eagle holding a lug gear in one claw and lighting bolts in the other. (TNG: "The Big Goodbye")
