"Genius" []

This individual assigned Captain James T. Kirk a female yeoman, much to his dismay. After the yeoman, Janice Rand, continued to "hover" over Kirk by bringing him a dietary salad as per Doctor Leonard McCoy's orders on Kirk's diet card, he expressed his desire to locate this "genius" and do something to them. (TOS: "The Corbomite Maneuver")

Captain Lynne Lucero's commanding officer at Starfleet received several "anonymous" messages the night after Edward Larkin was reassigned to climatology aboard the USS Cabot during the mid-23rd century. In the messages to Lucero's commanding officer, Lecero was said to be bad at her job, that she should be replaced immediately, and that she was "dumb". She was informed of the complaints the following day and confronted Larkin on the matter. (ST: "The Trouble with Edward")

In the script for Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, this character's lines are attributed to an Admiral Donald, who otherwise was ultimately replaced with Admiral Cartwright.

In 2293, this Starfleet flag officer attended the briefing about the Klingon moon Praxis. She apparently was familiar with the commander-in-chief, addressing him as Bill. She asked him if they intended to mothball Starfleet. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

This admiral was played by Judy Levitt, Walter Koenig's wife.
Although the C-in-C addressed her as "captain," she wore an admiral's insignia. She was identified in the film's credits as "Military Aide". As evidenced in the film's script, this character was initially meant to be "a military man".

The senior staff of the USS Enterprise-A were also in attendance of this briefing. Before it became, the confused Captain James T. Kirk wondered what they were doing there, while Doctor Leonard McCoy thought maybe Starfleet was throwing them a retirement party, while Pavel Chekov thought that the presence in such a venue was "just for top brass." (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

The script described the group as "Bemedaled Brass". In a deleted line McCoy, noticing that they were among this group of flag officers, wondered how the Enterprise crew "made the A list."
