(written from a Production point of view)
Entertainment Tonight Salutes Star Trek was a 44-minute Paramount Television special which was hosted by Leeza Gibbons and Bob Goen and aired on 21 May 1994.
The special was notable for showing extensive behind-the-scenes footage which was shot on set during the production of "All Good Things..." and Star Trek Generations.
Herman Zimmerman gave a guided tour of lit Star Trek sets, focusing on the USS Enterprise's Stellar cartography lab, warp core, main bridge, and sickbay sets. Sets aboard the Klingon Bird-of-Prey were also shown.
Clips from earlier Star Trek films and episodes were interwoven with archival behind-the-scenes footage from earlier productions. A portion of the show was also focused on fandom and the Star Trek phenomenon.
Correspondent (and former Miss America) Leanza Cornett was made up in full Ferengi makeup and appeared as a Ferengi waiter on the Promenade in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine second season episode "The Jem'Hadar".
