Fernando Funan Chien (born 6 October 1974; age 49), birth name Chien Fu-Nan, is a stuntman and stunt actor who played Saul in the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episodes "Borderland", "Cold Station 12", and "The Augments". Chien later performed stunts as a Starfleet official in Star Trek Into Darkness, and also performed stunts in Star Trek Beyond, where he was credited as Chien Funan.
He has doubled for stars such as Jackie Chan and is skilled in martial arts stunts.
Chien has appeared on such television series as Soldier of Fortune, Inc. (1999, with Mark A. Sheppard), The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne (2000, with René Auberjonois, John Rhys-Davies and David Warner), and Crossing Jordan (2005, with Miguel Ferrer), and in films such as The Sign of Four (2001, starring Matt Frewer), The Art of War (2000, with Cary-Hiroyuki), and Honor (2006, starring Enterprise co-star Linda Park).
He has also performed stunts and stunt acting parts in films such as Poseidon (2006), Crank (2006), Flags of our Fathers (2006), and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007, with fellow stuntman Tom Morga), and in television series such as Heroes (2006, with Tina Lifford, Cristine Rose, Thomas Dekker, and stunts by Justin Sundquist and Brian Avery), in which he doubled lead actor Masi Oka.
Other films are the drama Beyond the Ring (2008), Pineapple Express (2008, with stunts by Steve Rizzo and Lin Oeding), and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008, with stunts by Theo Kypri).
