Dr. Farallon was a Tyran scientist and inventor of the particle fountain.
The particle fountain was a new mining technology totally different than any existing mining technology. To explore the possibilities the particle fountain project was started which Dr. Farallon supervised.
A few years before field testing commenced she experimented with modified industrial servo mechanisms which she called exocomps. She thought these would help to complete the project more quickly.
In 2369 Dr. Farallon assisted Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge of the starship USS Enterprise to perform an evaluation of the particle fountain project. The Federation was interested to use a particle fountain on Karema III.
Dr. Farallon was a great admirer of Dr. Noonien Soong and made an extensive study of his positronic network design.
