A Federation star chart depicting the location of Fabrina
Fabrina was a planet located in the Fabrina solar system. The ancient location of Fabrina was depicted on a Federation star chart in 2293. It was once located near Kzin, Regulus, and Theta III. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)
History
Fabrina was the ancient homeworld of the Fabrini, a humanoid race who, around 8,000 BC, realized that their sun would enter a nova phase. To ensure the survival of their race, they hollowed out an asteroid and constructed the computer-controlled worldship Yonada. The asteroid ship was to bear some of their population to safety, and bring their descendants to a preselected world, while the other Fabrini perished in the supernova, hiding underground during the last days.
