Battle of HarOs

Data's expressionist painting

Expressionist was a style of painting with that was colorful with vivid details.

In 2370, Data gave Worf a painting that he described as an expressionist interpretation of the Battle of HarOs. Worf was not impressed, but Deanna Troi liked it. With Riker's help, she hung it on the wall of Worf's quarters, replacing a shield. (TNG: "Parallels")

From the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 256), "Expressionism, which emphasized the artist's emotions rather than actual representation of objects, was popular on Earth during the early 1900s."
