The even better than coffee substitute was the informal name captain Janeway gave to a beverage created by Neelix to replace Earth coffee. It was made from a proteinaceous Delta Quadrant seed, was a richer blend than standard coffee, and was quite viscous. Captain Janeway, a borderline coffee addict, was skeptical about the substance. The drink appeared to have a noticeably higher viscosity than would be expected of coffee.
